John Golden
President and CEO
John Golden joined Huthwaite as President and CEO in August 2008. John’s track record as a proven leader combined with extensive experience in the learning industry provides the foundation for his strategic vision of success for Huthwaite.
Prior to his work with Huthwaite, John served as the Senior Vice President of Education & Business Development at the Mortgage Bankers Association. In this role, he was responsible for the restructuring and sustainable growth of the CampusMBA business unit. This included creating and executing a new marketing strategy, establishing standards for operating and quality control, and implementing cost controls to maximize profit margins. Golden joined MBA from Learning Sciences International, a startup company providing professional development products for K-12 educators, where he was Vice President of the educational services division and responsible for defining and executing the go-to-market strategy. Before that Golden was Vice President of products and programs and a member of the senior executive team at New Horizons CLC, the world’s largest independent IT training company, where he managed a $32 million business unit responsible for sourcing, building and providing products and services to franchise locations in more than 50 countries.
Golden started his career in the learning industry at SmartForce (formerly CBT Systems) in Dublin, Ireland before moving to the corporate HQ in Silicon Valley, California where he was responsible for developing and bringing to market key strategic initiatives including the launch of the first fully integrated online learning platform. John received his undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and his Master of Arts from Dublin City University, also in Dublin, Ireland.
Bruce Wedderburn
Executive Vice President of Channel & Enablement
Bruce has two primary roles at Huthwaite: 1) Developing and leading the growth of Huthwaite’s international business. During the ten years he has been with Huthwaite his team has opened up Huthwaite offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico and Japan, and 2) Spearheading Huthwaite’s emerging strength in enabling technologies. The Enablement Team focuses on using business intelligence software to embed and sustain Huthwaite’s sales skills within an organization’s workflow for daily reinforcement.
He is also one of Huthwaite’s most requested speakers, being sought by sales organizations throughout the world to talk about Huthwaite’s latest research and global best practices in successful selling. Bruce meets with senior sales leaders to lead discussions on overcoming sales challenges and developing strategies to increase performance, revenue and market share. Prior to joining Huthwaite, Bruce was affiliated with the Dale Carnegie Center of Excellence as a Sales Consultant, where he broke multiple sales records and established himself as the top revenue producer out of over 500 sales people. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
